Ncell organized a thematic seminar on tourism on Wednesday as part of the Ncell App Camp 2015. The half-day seminar was focused on providing additional knowledge to teams developing tourism-related apps, according to Ncell.
According to a press release issued by Ncell, experts from the tourism sector discussed global trends in the app market, and how Nepali developers can tap into the trends.
Addressing the seminar as key note speaker, Raj Gyawali of Social Tours said that tourist safety, response mapping and event listings are some of the areas in tourism where mobile apps could be developed.
He also suggested participants to make apps more reliable to user. "Ncell App Camp is Nepal's largest mobile app development conclave and it is being organized as continuation of Ncell's CSR initiative launched in 2014, aiming to provide opportunities for young talents to apply their creativity for developing innovative solutions," the release added.
According to Ncell, one best team in each category will win a cash prize of Rs 250,000, while a grand winner will win an additional cash prize of Rs 500,000, and an opportunity to participate in an international event in 2016.
